This edition is bound in heavy boards covered in orange cloth, with an interesting dust jacket in mylar. A London servant girl Elizabeth Canning disappeared on January 1st, 1753, and reappeared on January 29th an alarming story of abduction. There have been many books that have attempted to explain the Elizabeth Canning mystery, but none with the detail, scholarship, and wit of this one.
