Darkness at Pemberley.

SKU: 14704-1

T. H. White [1906-1964] is known for The Sword in the Stone and other Arthurian fantasies. But back in 1932 he wrote this mystery novel, a detective story set in later days at Pemberley, with Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy descendants. A rare early sequel! No jacket. Spine very loose. Some light foxing. Cloth is worn in at top and base of spine. Someone pasted in a newspaper review of the novel inside the front cover, appears contemporaneous but not identified by date or newspaper name. This is the first US edition, published in 1933 by The Century Co. New York and London. Scarce/Rare. Price reduced dramatically due to condition. $350.
