Jane Austen: Family History. 5 Volumes.

SKU: 17581

This five volume set was created to bring together in one place several publications about Jane Austen's family history, focusing mainly on books that Austen family members published. Several of these books were extremely scarce at the time and some had not been reprinted, creating difficulties for scholars and serious fans. In the intervening years, a few more of these books have been reprinted, but some are still difficult or impossible to find. David Gilson was enlisted to write introductions to all the material. High-quality facsimiles are reproduced on high-quality paper, bound in dark blue with silver gilt titles on the spine. All but one volume are in Like New condition. The volume slightly less good has been read and has a penciled comment on one page. This is the first edition. The set is currently published by Routledge priced at $1500.
