In the 1930’s and 40’s, due to deterioration and loss of parochial libraries, the Church of England performed a survey of surviving collections, with Neir Ker serving as general editor, which was published in 1959 by Faith Press. This book is a thorough revision of that work with the addition of new discoveries and research, and the addition of desk libraries.
