Ayesha at Last.

SKU: 15634

Ayesha Shamsi writes poetry, but she works as a teacher, trying to pay off family debts to her wealthy uncle. There are secrets in her family - about her father's death, about their sudden emigration to Canada when she was a child. She is lonely, but doesn't want an arranged marriage like the one her pretty younger cousin is excitedly pursuing. Unfortunately she finds herself attracted to a handsome but very conservative, judgmental man who dresses like he's from the 7th century. Well-written, with a page-turner plot that stands on its own merit, with inspiration from Pride and Prejudice. Penguin Random House. 2019. Paper. NEW. $15.00
