Gardner [1889-1970], an American lawyer who had more fun writing fiction, was most famous for his creation Perry Mason. Gardner wrote for pulp detective crime mysteries, both stories in magazines and books, under several names. Mundell expects his early works will someday be examined, and has collected a list of his published works from the 1920's on, grouped in catagories of short fiction, book fiction, short non-fiction, book non-fiction and miscellanea.
