Ross compiled letters, notes, tributes, sketches to put forward this portrait of Mrs. MacLehose, referred to in Robert Burns' letters as Clarinda. Burns [1759-1796] fell in love multiple times; "Clarinda," however, did not bear him a child as did several other women. This volume is in VG condition for age. Burgundy cloth, gilt title.
