Onota Watanna aka Winnifred Eaton published over a dozen novels and dozens of short stories and articles in the US and Canada. This, her second novel, was highly successful and was adapted as a Broadway play, and in 1918 as a silent movie. The story is about a talented Japanese dancer who attracts a American man when he sees her performance in Japan.  Illustrated by Genjiro Yeto.
