 In the preface, Zimmern states she had access to an unplublished memoir of Edgeworth written by her stepmother, as well as a large number of her private letters. She set about to correct the lack of a Life of the famous author. This copy has a sticker in the front cover "The Smith Library, Franklin, N. H. Under the care of The First Unitarian Congregational Society, with hours and other information about the library. There are 14 pages of ads in the back of the book, including several ads for other books in the Famous Women series. Pages are lightly browned. A few pages are chipped around the edges.
