Chamberlain [1917-1989] was an author, educator and jounalist born in Ohio. She wrote "The Tall Dark Man" (1955) which was televised and reprinted numerous times internationally as well as in the US. Other popular works include "The Soldier Room" and "The Darkest Bough." Her short stories were published in The Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan, and many other periodicals.
