This book is over an inch thick, with 200 full-page plates on one side and text on the other side, and many additional images included in the introduction.  The images featured are part of an extensive collection of plates held by Speical Collections & College Archives, a unit of the Gladys Marcus Library at the Fahions Institute of Technology in New York. The Special Collections holds more than 500,000 original works of art on paper in addition to rare books and periodicals.
