Morris [1834-1896] was an English textile designer, poet, novelist, translator, and social activist. He helped inspire the Arts and Crafts movement in architecture, helped establish interest in fantasy literature, and was close with the Pre-Raphaelite artists. He incorporated medieval designs into wallpaper, fabrics and stained glass that are the focus of this book. Loaded with beautiful illustrations. Jacket has a few wrinkles.
