Eyam: Plague Village.

SKU: 16997

In September 1665, plague came from London to the small and isolated village of Eyam in Derbyshire. The village became famous for its struggle to contain the plague, including establishing a "cordon sanitaire" to try to prevent its spread to other villages. The author has taken true facts of the story and built this historically accurate tale by creating fictional letters and diary entries from the perspective of the key participants in the tragedy.
