There are several interesting essays and book reviews in this volume, but of special interest to us is the essay by David Gilson "Jane Austen's Text: A Survey of Editions." Gilson reviews the first editions, the Bentley editions, 19th century editions after Bentley, the 1890's, and ultimately asks whether Chapman's 1923 edition is "quite as magisterial as has always been supposed." Lots of detail for the textual nerds to explore. Volume is Like New. Oxford University Press. Paper. 2002. USED. $20.00
