This is a 1910 reprint of a 1907 edition by Dent and Dutton. Beautifully illustrated with b&w drawings. Ruskin [1819-1900] was a Victorian polymath who wrote about a great many topics of importance to his times. The seven lamps are moral categories Ruskin believed were essential to all architecture, and provided a secular and Protestant take on the Gothic to counteract Catholic influence.  J. M.
